RFQ For Bond Counsel Services

The City of Marlin will construct water and wastewater projects, assisted by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and Clean Water State Revolving Fund of the Texas Water Development Board, and/or Water Development Fund of the Texas Water Development Board to design and construct water and wastewater system improvements in this community.  Accordingly, the City of Marlin is seeking to contract with a qualified Bond Counsel firm to provide objective legal opinion with respect to assessing the viability of authorizing and issuing evidences of indebtedness and of executing contractual grant agreements to the Texas Water Development Board.

Please submit your proposal of services and a statement of qualifications for these proposed services to Mr. Alan Grindstaff, City Manager, at 101 Fortune, Marlin, Texas. 76661.  A copy of the proposal format may be obtained from Mr. Alan Grindstaff, City Manager, at 101 Fortune, Marlin, Texas, 76661, city website or may be requested by telephone at (254) 883-1450 or via e-mail at Proposal must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 to be considered.  No electronic submission will be accepted. The City of Marlin reserves the right to negotiate with any and all bond counsel attorney’s or firms submitting proposals, according to Office of Management and Budget Circular A-102.

The City of Marlin will not be responsible for any costs incurred in submitting a response.

The City of Marlin seeks to afford the opportunity for qualified SBE, MBE, and WBE firms to propose to provide the services described herein.
