Chief Lawrence T. McCall, holds a Master’s of Management degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice, Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration and completed the coursework for the Doctoral Program in Organizational Leadership with Emphasis in Organizational Development at Grand Canyon University (ABD). Chief received several educational recognitions by being inducted into the Three Universities Wall of Fame. Chief McCall is a graduate of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration’s School of Police Supervision and Management College & Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas . Chief McCall is a licensed TCOLE Master Police Officer and was the Assistant Commander / Lieutenant and Field Training Officer for the Dallas County Sheriff Emission Enforcement Task Force, where he managed and supervised detectives assigned to an undercover Task Force. Chief received an Honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps prior to becoming a police officer in the Chicagoland area (Maywood) and was assigned to the Patrol Division, Special Crimes Division, and Gang/Drug Task Force Unit. Chief McCall worked as a Harris County Sheriff Department Deputy Jailer and Drill Instructor for Harris County Community and Supervision Department Adult Boot Camp. Chief McCall goal is to serve the community in a fair and compassionate manner by leading with a vision and empowering others to meet the overall goals and objectives of the department. He is committed to community service at all levels and is optimistic about the future. He is firmly committed to serving his community. Chief McCall was selected and appointed Chief of Police on November 12, 2019.
