Boil Water Notice Rescinded

1/31/2024

On 1/16/2024, Due to no water and Low water pressure (under 20 PSI operating pressure) the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Marlin public water system, PWS 0730002, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 1/31/2024..

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Richard Cohrs Supervisor or Scott Fornash Public Works Dir. 254-883-3371

The City of Marlin has taken action to correct the issues at hand. The water pressure in town has been restored. Bacteriological Samples have been taken to the Waco Laboratory and have been tested. The results showed the water is safe for human consumption. Thank you for your patience during this time of restoration.
