The following benefits are among those made available to eligible positions (Full-time and Part-time):
Health Insurance– The City provides full coverage to all full-time employees, with additional options for dependent and spousal coverage.
Vision Insurance- The City provides full coverage to all full-time employees, with additional options for dependent and spousal coverage.
Retirement- The City matches an employee’s required contribution of 5% to the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) with a contribution of 6.68% The retirement plan contributions begin on the date of hire. Employees vest in the retirement system in five years and can retire after 20 years of service.
Sick Leave- Sick leave is accrued on the basis of 3.41 hours per pay period (89 hours per year).
Vacation Leave- Vacation leave is accrued at 3.04 hours per pay period (80 hours per year).
