NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 102, notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Marlin, Texas will conduct a public hearing to obtain the views of the citizens regarding the proposed budget for the fiscal year October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $84,226 which is a 4.23 percent increase from last year’s budget, and of that amount $20,866 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. The public hearing will be held on September 15, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. at Council Chambers, 101 Fortune Street, Marlin, Texas 76661. Following the public hearing, the Marlin City Council may vote on the adoption of a budget for fiscal year 2025-2026. The public is encouraged to attend.
