The City of Marlin, Falls County, Texas, is pursuing federal funding through the Texas Water Development Board’s (TWDB) Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) for the proposed Marlin Park Pond Project (TWDB Project No. 73822). A public meeting for the project is being held on April 2, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at 101 Fortune St, Marlin, TX 76661 to discuss the City of Marlin’s proposed Marlin Park Pond project, located within Marlin City Park, to improve surface water drainage and water quality measures as well as reduce flooding. One of the purposes of this hearing is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it. This project involves construction located in a wetland. Alternatives to construction in a wetland and potential impacts on wetlands will be addressed during the public meeting.
