WATER UPDATE (12/11/24):
City of Marlin Public Works crews, in conjunction with TEEX’s Public Works Response Team, continue to identify and address water leaks throughout our water service area. Today, 2 additional water leaks were repaired by our Public Works crews.
We continue to work closely with Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) officials to bring this situation to an effective resolution. As a result of these collective efforts, we have begun to experience improvements in both water pressure and stored water levels. Additional improvements will be experienced as more leaks are identified and repaired.
Even though water pressure is improving, the Boil Water Notice and Stage 6 water conservation measures remain in place. All citizens, visitors, and businesses are encouraged to continue practicing water conservation. This includes refraining from vehicle washing and lawn irrigation; both of which are prohibited under the current water conservation measures.
All citizens are encouraged to report possible water leaks by contacting our city’s water office at (254) 883-1450. We will provide another status update later this evening
