CITY UPDATES:
10/11/2022
***Please note that on yesterday 10/10/22 city water personnel noticed a drop in pressure coming off the line that feeds water flow from the river to the lake. After surveying the line from the river to the lake, city personnel located a leak in the flow system approx. 300 yards from the river intake. Personnel began repair procedure; the line is enclosed in an underground concrete vault approx. 15-20 ft. down. Repairs are ongoing and should be fixed soon. The city water level is still stable and adequately sufficient for daily supply and demand.
***Please note that corrected water bills were mailed out yesterday 10/10/22. Thank you for your patience while city staff and AVR staff worked through this past month meter reading and billing issue. We apologize for any shell-shock that this error created.
***Please note that you may have observed light green stickers on junk or abandoned vehicles, as well as receiving written notification on doors in reference to tall grass and cleaning up debris on properties. The city has initiated this process in the past two weeks because it is the city’s intention once given court approval to start cleaning and revitalizing these properties, then place lien holders note on them.
***Please note a hearty thank you, to all those who participated in the joint Falls County and City of Marlin Trash & Tire Drop Off Day on this past Saturday.
