Cemetery Marker Restrictions

Restrictions:

Grantor reserves to itself the right to control the use, landscaping, maintenance, and management of said tract or parcel of land by all reasonable ordinances now, or hereafter passed and adopted by it. Property enclosures will not be permitted; curbs, coping or open vaults will not be permitted; planting of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals or vines will not be permitted; burial of household pets will not be allowed; and grasses will be planted and maintained by the Cemetery.

Leveling of graves:

All graves, on any lot, in said Cemetery shall, at the end of six months after the burial of a body, be flush with the level of the ground. and the Cemetery manager or caretaker shall level all graves flush with the level of the ground after lapse of said period of time.

Monuments and markers:

All monuments shall be of a good grade of Granite, Marble or Bronze, and have the approval of the Cemetery manager before installation.

Monuments will be permitted, with certain restrictions on lots with an area of 250 square feet, or more, and shall be firmly embedded in concrete. All monuments shall be in the center of the lots and perpendicular to the side lines of the lot.

The base of the monument shall be equidistant from the sides of the lot and at least eighteen inches from the side lines. The footings for monuments shall be of good quality concrete (one to four mix) and be made flush with the level of the ground. Said footing shall extend out six inches from base of the monument on all four sides and be of such thickness as to carry the weight of the monument.

Grave markers shall be of Granite, Marble or Bronze, and of a uniform size; twenty-four inches by twelve inches by four inches (Bronze markers shall be of same dimensions as Granite or Marble Markers except that thickness will be three-fourths of an inch); and firmly embedded in concrete. Flush with the ground. Grave markers in the Baby Section shall be as above but smaller in size; eighteen inches by four inches.

Property Markers shall be firmly installed flush with ground and not to exceed five inches square, or diameter.

The heights of the monuments in the several sections shall not exceed the schedule below;

Sections K, L and M …………………………………… 60 inches.
Sections F and G ……………………………………….. 48 inches.
Sections D, E, and H, J ……………………………….. 36 inches.
Section A, B, C …………………………………………… 30 inches.
