UPDATE:
The repairs to the busted pipe issue at the City of Marlin Water Plant are complete. However, they are in the process of trying to thaw a frozen pump so that they can begin producing water. They have contacted TCEQ and provided updates as to the continued delay. In the meantime, we are continuing to procure water for citizens who have zero bottles of drinkable water in their home. I made several calls this morning and we have obtained approval from Sam’s Club to purchase one pallet of water. They have limits in place but was willing to relax those limits for us. A huge thank you to their manager, Steve. City personnel are in route to retrieve the pallet. We will let you know when we will begin distribution. If you received a case yesterday, please do not return today. We need to get water to as many citizens as we can who have NONE. The process will be the same as yesterday. ONE CASE PER CAR. To that end, there are several places in Waco and Temple who have water available with limits in place.
