All citizens should have water at this time. The Mesquite tower is filling slowly but surely, and all other towers are well above 20 psi, which is the threshold for alerts regarding water loss. The Hobby towers remained at full capacity during manual checks. Plant operators have concluded that due to the usage at the Hobby Unit during the time that towers were filling after the outage, this caused the Mesquite tower to empty rapidly in an effort to fill the Royal, Depot, and Hobby towers. SCADA technicians have determined that our communication system is operating as it should. We have also determined that the grounding system that was initiated at our plant at its original construction around 2009 is insufficient. This is one of the components that will be upgraded by B5 Construction through our grant/loan funding from TWDB. B5 is in the process of ordering parts and supplies needed to make the necessary upgrades and will begin this process as soon as they have all the parts to do so.
We are still under a boil water notice until cleared by TCEQ.
