Water Conservation Update : Stage 3 Implementation

Posted on November 5, 2022

Greetings Marlinites,

Following a concerted effort on the part of all Marlinites to conserve water during the critical summer months, the City of Marlin is pleased to announce that we can now reduce our water conservation stage down from Stage 4 to Stage 3. Water collected from the Brazos River, consumer compliance with restrictions, and recent rains, have added to lake levels and we have risen as a result. Your willingness to conserve in order to ensure that we. as a community. could survive the drought conditions is commendable. We appreciate each and every one of you for working together to ensure that Marlin continued to have water without interruption. I would especially like to thank the owners of our local car washes. I know it could not have been easy financially for you to work with the restrictions that were needed but those restrictions helped to reduce water usage tremendously and we are grateful for your cooperation and support. You are officially cleared to return to full capacity operation of your car washes. This is just another testament to how we work together as a family to achieve a goal. Thank you all again. God bless and take care.
